Why I Teach
Early in my career as an educator, I saw firsthand how many bright, capable students were falling through the cracks simply because standard reading instruction wasn't designed for how their brains worked. That realization is what drove me to pursue my Master of Arts in Teaching with a deep focus on Communication Disorders. I wanted to understand the science of reading and how to truly unlock language for every type of learner.
Over the years, my practice has evolved to serve students across the learning spectrum. I work with students who need highly structured, evidence-based dyslexia intervention, as well as advanced and gifted students who are ready to tackle complex literature and writing.
Today, through my virtual-only practice, I get to do what I love most: give students the tailored tools, strategies, and confidence they need to finally find their voice.

"Before your class, every book I picked up, I just looked at the page for about 3 minutes and then flipped it. I was treated like a failure by almost all of my teachers. But you were one of the few who had confidence in me. You helped me with reading, my scores went up, and I still use the things you taught me today when I’m trying to comprehend. I appreciate your time and patience with me. It helped me graduate, and today I am a manager and guaranteed future business owner."— Dan H., Former Student
